Encourage use of VHF-FM radio and promote participation in communication drills, including training exercises in search and rescue communications for vessels and aircraft. Work to provide qualified Auxiliarists for standing communications watches.

Responsible for supervision over electronic communication services for the Flotilla.

Supervise all financial matters; maintain complete and understandable records of all financial transactions; maintain an annual budget; ensure that an annual unit audit is performed.

Information Systems (IS) Ken Smith fsois.uscga@yahoo.com

Supervise all matters pertaining to the collection, recording, and forwarding of the Flotilla AUXMIS data, and keep members informed of all updates in this area. 

Materials (MA) Grace Schoonmaker  GraceGS@hvc.rr.com

Responsible for the procurement of materials including stationery, forms and publications for distribution to the flotilla. Assist unit and members in ordering educational materials, uniforms items, etc.

Marine Safety (MS) 

Supervise all matters pertaining to the flotilla's role in the Auxiliary Marine Safety and Environmental Protection activity, and keep the Flotilla Commander and members informed of developments in this area.

Member Training (MT) Curt Fleck  curtfleck@hvi.net

Promote the growth of the Flotilla by helping to recruit new members; and develop programs and activities to retain current members. Establish a continuous program of training activities to provide members a higher level of knowledge in subjects relating to Auxiliary programs and qualifications.

Marine Dealer Visitor (MV) 

Make courtesy calls on area marine retailers who deal with boaters to provide available materials and information.

Supervise all flotilla operations programs, including search and rescue (SAR), regatta, safety and/or air patrols, and support missions. Ensure that such activities are performed under current Coast Guard policy.

Develop and direct media activities to obtain publicity for Auxiliary units and activities.

Editor of the flotilla newsletter. Assist in preparation of other articles for other publications.

Responsible for all matters pertaining to the public education program, which includes scheduling, organization, and conduct of all public education classes and activities.

Supervise all matters pertaining to the flotilla's member resources program, and keep flotilla members informed of all developments in the program.

Record and publish minutes of meetings; maintain a current record of flotilla officers, committee assignments, list of division officers and current copy of the Flotilla standing rules.

Vessel Examinations (VE) Damien Shannon   ShannonAudio@gmail.com

Oversee and coordinate the Boating Safety Vessel Safety Check (VSC) program to help educate the boating public about required safety equipment. If directed, schedule specific VSC stations and activities.
